LOUVRE SIZES
63mm louvres
63mm louvres offer a traditional shutter style with a balance of privacy and natural light. Their narrower slats create smaller gaps, helping maintain privacy while still allowing plenty of daylight into the room. The 63mm louvres provide elegant proportions that complement traditional and character homes beautifully.

76MM louvres
76mm louvres are the most popular choice for plantation shutters, they offer an excellent balance of style, natural light and practicality. Their wider slats allow more daylight into the room while creating a clean, contemporary appearance and maintaining excellent privacy control. Versatile and stylish, 76mm louvres work beautifully across most window sizes and complement both traditional and modern interiors.

89MM louvres
89mm louvres are the largest standard shutter slat size, perfect for creating a bright, open feel. With fewer, wider slats, they allow more natural light into the room and provide a clearer view when open. Their contemporary appearance makes them particularly suited to larger windows and openings, or anywhere you want to maximise daylight while creating a clean, modern look.

CONTROL OPTIONS
HIDDEN TILT ROD
Hidden tilt shutters have a concealed mechanism built into the rear of the panel, meaning there is no visible tilt rod on the front of the louvres. This creates a very clean, modern appearance and allows the shutters to look sleek and uncluttered. The louvres are simply adjusted by hand, and they move together smoothly, making hidden tilt a popular choice for contemporary interiors.

CENTRAL TILT ROD
A central tilt rod is the traditional shutter control, positioned vertically in the middle of the shutter panel and connected to each louvre. Moving the rod up or down tilts all the louvres simultaneously, allowing easy control of light and privacy. This style is commonly used in classic plantation shutters and gives a timeless, authentic appearance that suits both traditional and period-style homes.

OFFSET TILT ROD
An offset tilt rod works in the same way as a central tilt rod but is positioned to one side of the panel rather than in the middle. This creates a slightly cleaner look while still keeping the traditional visible control rod. Offset tilt rods are often aligned with the panel frame or stile, helping maintain symmetry and giving the shutters a more subtle, balanced appearance.
