FULL HEIGHT SHUTTERS

Full Height shutters cover the entire height of your window from top to bottom, providing a clean, uniform, and architectural look. They are the most popular style of shutter because they offer a complete transformation of a room's aesthetic while providing maximum control over your environment.

KEY POINTS
Total Coverage: One continuous panel (or set of panels) covers the window from the sill to the top of the frame.

Mid-Rails: For taller windows, a horizontal "mid-rail" is often added. This reinforces the panel and—critically—allows you to tilt the top slats independently from the bottom ones.

Integrated Look: Because they cover the whole window, they often look like a permanent part of the house's architecture rather than an "add-on" window dressing.

TIER ON TIER SHUTTERS

Tier-on-tier shutters consist of two separate sets of shutter panels—one stacked directly on top of the other separated by a horizontal support rail, within the same frame. This allows you to open or close the top and bottom tiers entirely independently of each other.

CAFE STYLE SHUTTERS

Café style shutters are inspired by the classic French cafes that give them their name, these shutters cover only the bottom portion of a window, leaving the top section completely open. Think of them as the perfect compromise between total privacy and a room full of sunshine.

Partial Coverage: They typically cover the lower half or two-thirds of the window frame.

76MM louvres

76mm Louvres are one of the most popular choices for modern plantation shutters because they provide a great balance between style, light, and practicality. Slightly wider than 63mm, they allow more natural light into the room and create a cleaner, more contemporary look while still maintaining good privacy control. Their versatility means they work well in most window sizes and suit both traditional and modern interiors.

89MM louvres

89mm Louvres are the largest of the commonly used shutter slat sizes and are perfect for creating a bright, open feel in a room. With fewer slats per panel, they allow maximum light and provide a clearer view when the louvres are open. Their wider design gives shutters a bold, contemporary appearance, making them ideal for larger windows, tall openings, or spaces where you want to maximise natural light

Hidden tilt shutters have a concealed mechanism built into the rear of the panel, meaning there is no visible tilt rod on the front of the louvres. This creates a very clean, modern appearance and allows the shutters to look sleek and uncluttered. The louvres are simply adjusted by hand, and they move together smoothly, making hidden tilt a popular choice for contemporary interiors.

CENTRAL TIL ROD

A central tilt rod is the traditional shutter control, positioned vertically in the middle of the shutter panel and connected to each louvre. Moving the rod up or down tilts all the louvres simultaneously, allowing easy control of light and privacy.
